Crisis Medicine HIVE module
This collaboration takes Crisis Medicine’s foundational Tactical Casualty Care course and presents it with a greater emphasis on improvised, not just commercial equipment, for traumatic casualty management.
Primary instruction by Mike Shertz, MD/18-D. Dr. Shertz has 25 years experience as an emergency medicine physician, dual boarded in EMS, a former Special Forces medic, with an additional 20 years experience as an embedded tactical medic and director of a sheriff’s tactical medical program. It includes Ed’s operational perspective gained from his decade of experience working as Mexican Law Enforcement during counter drug operations.
This interactive, hands-on course will give you a plan and preparation for the first few minutes of casualty evaluation and treatment in a high-risk environment such as an active shooter, building collapse, building on fire, secondary explosives, etc. before the arrival of professional first responders.
